Elopement Journal NZ has only been around for a few months, but already it’s found its voice: honest, emotional, and unpolished in the best way. It’s become the place where I write about the moments that sit quietly behind every wedding, the nerves, the gratitude, the magic that can’t be scheduled into a run sheet.
Now, it’s time for the next step..
EJNZ and NZDW: Walking Side by Side
Until now, Elopement Journal NZ and New Zealand Dream Weddings have lived closely together, and that connection will always remain.
NZDW is where the stories happen, the planning, the emotion, the care that goes into creating a day that feels effortless and deeply personal. It’s the hands, the heart, and the calm behind every “I do.”
EJNZ simply takes those same stories and gives them space to breathe. It’s where I can reflect on the moments that move me, the look between a couple just before the helicopter lifts off, the quiet joy after vows, the unseen magic that happens between the photos.
They are not separate in spirit, just two expressions of the same love for what I do. One brings the dream to life; the other tells the story of how it felt.
But to let each grow fully, they need their own space. EJNZ will now stand independently, a storytelling home where I can write freely, without worrying about page layouts or SEO keywords. And while I’ll still link to NZDW when it helps couples find practical guidance, this space will stay anchored in reflection and truth.
What This Space Is (and Isn’t)
This isn’t a place for price lists, packages, or polished sales talk.
It’s for words that feel, real stories, real emotions, and the quiet honesty that comes with nearly thirty years in this world of love and logistics.
You’ll still see mountain peaks and soft dawn light, but through a different lens: one that focuses less on what’s for sale, and more on why it matters.
